Recognition of foreign education and qualification in the Southern Federal University
Under the Federal Act N 273-ФЗ of December, 29 2012, "Education Act of Russian Federation", SFedU may independently (in accordance with established procedure, N 141-ОД, 14.06.2024) perform a recognition of foreign education or\and qualification, in order to organize admission of foreign students and realization of professional activities for people with foreign education\qualification.
The procedure for recognizing foreign education in the SFedU
Specialists of Centre for International Student Recruitment hold full expertise over 14 workdays. The period may be extended in exceptional circumstances to 30 days (while submitting requests to foreign educational institutions).

  • For recognition of foreign education, holder of foreign certificates of education need to provide in the Center following documents:

    1. Application;
    2. Original certificate of education (with supplement or transcript) legalized according to the rules;
    3. Scanned copy of international passport;
    4. Other documents that provide additional evidence of relevant training for the holder of foreign documents, including documents confirming the fact of training and obtaining a certificate of education, as well as the existence of a licence and (or) Accreditation of the educational programme and (or) the issuing organization, if necessary.
    All documents are provided together with their notarized translations into Russian.
    In some cases (because of the absence of certain documents, information, etc.) the process is being implemented in two phases: primary expertise and full expertise.
