Program description

The Master's program in Resource Diplomacy is designed to train specialists with the skills to navigate complex interactions related to resource management, trade, and politics. Knowledge of social processes will be complemented by applied tracks in the natural sciences and humanities:
• Natural Resource Diplomacy (in Russian, with selected disciplines in English)
• Humanitarian Diplomacy (in English).
The program will be built on a cross-disciplinary approach and a learning-by-doing philosophy, synthesizing knowledge from the humanities and natural sciences; integrating social sciences; and connecting theory and practice.

Top reasons to study

  • The Integrative Approach is a joint program of the Institute of History and International Relations and the Institute of Earth Sciences at SFedU, centers of education and research in the fields of history, archaeology, international relations, geology, and geography.
  • The practice-oriented approach will be implemented through case studies and project-based learning, in close collaboration with employers, within the context of an integrated scientific approach, which assumes that innovative approaches proposed by master's students, based on scientific and evidence-based approaches, can help solve one of the greatest challenges of our time.
  • "Resource Diplomacy" will be of interest to bachelor's and specialist's degree graduates with knowledge in international relations, economics, regional studies, ecology, and natural resource assessment and management.
